And that’s not all. North Hills’ calendar is packed with concerts, festivals, and dining events to help everyone enjoy this great time of year.

There’s no better time for outdoor concerts in Raleigh than October when the heat of summer sharpens to cooler, brisker temperatures. This month, the Friday Night Tribute Series presents Country Legends on Oct. 6, and soft rock’s Yachty by Nature (think the Captain and Tenille meets Toto) on Oct. 13.
For Families
Do your kids have business ideas beyond a lemonade stand? If so, bring them to the 2017 Raleigh Children's Business Fair on Oct. 7. They’ll be inspired by local kids who are working to make their business ideas reality, and receive coaching from prominent business leaders in the area. In its second year, children exhibit their goods and services at the event for a chance to win cash prizes.Enjoy a chili cook-off, inflatables, face painting, a beer garden, and a canine costume contest at Midtown Raleigh Alliance's Pumpkin Palooza on Oct. 21. Proceeds support Teen Cancer America, and the first 50 families receive a free pumpkin from Shepherd’s Way Farm.

Raise a glass to the flavors of fall at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse’s Antinori Wine Dinner on Oct. 15 or at Mura’s Hitachino Nest Beer Dinner on Oct. 19.Looking for local squash, apples, or sweet potatoes? The Midtown Farmer's Market offers the best fall fruits and vegetables along with local meats and cheeses, all produced within 100 miles of Raleigh. The Market is open every Saturday until Nov. 4.
